Fairy Tale???

You know how when you were a little kid and you believed in fairy tales, that fantasy of what your life would be, white dress, prince charming who would carry you away to a castle on a hill. You would lie in bed at night and close your eyes and you had complete and utter faith. Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, Prince Charming, they were so close you could taste them, but eventually you grow up, one day you open your eyes and the fairy tale disappears. Most people turn to the things and people they can trust. But the thing is its hard to let go of that fairy tale entirely cause almost everyone has that smallest bit of hope, of faith, that one day they will open their eyes and it will come true.

Happened to me. It made me very sensitive to cruelty....

"Old age is far more than white hair, wrinkles, the feeling that it is too late and the game finished, that the stage belongs to the rising generations. The true evil is not the weakening of the body, but the indifference of the soul."

yesterday, i was passing through some market in pindi, i saw a grey haired man, about 65 years old wearing torn clothes which i am sure were not warm enuff to hinder the cold, holding his cycle in his both hands and walking along the road.My car was moving slow coz of the "terrific traffic" and i caught site of the old man.I focused on him and started looking into his eyes....looked again...and again!!
OHHH!!! TEARS! Yes there were tears in his eyes.....my heart sunk right at dat moment...hundereds of thoughts blocked my mind....in the process of finding the reason...y he was weeping.

May be coz his weak shoulders were not able to bear the burden of responsibilites, may be he was thinking of that utter need of one of his family member which he was unable to fullfil, may be he was the only bread earner of his family and on dat day he was unable to earn dat even, may be coz his children left him alone to face the brutalities of life!

Cruel! world as well as life..........

Of all the animals, man is the only one that is cruel. He is the only one that inflicts pain for the pleasure of doing it.

Wait For The Right Time!!

Women are like apples on trees, the best ones are on the top of the tree. The men don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and don't want to get hurt. Instead, they just get the rotten apples from the ground that aren't so good but easy. So, the apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality they are amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who's brave enough to climb all the way to the top becuase they value quality.

What Happens in Heaven???

What Happens in Heaven

This is one of the nicest mails I have seen and is so true:

I dreamt that I went to Heaven and an angel was showing me around. We walked
side-by-side inside a large workroom filled with angels.

My angel guide stopped in front of the first section and said, "This is the
Receiving Section. Here, all petitions to God said in prayer are received."

I looked around in this area, and it was terribly busy with so many angels
sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets and scraps from
people all over the world.

Then we moved on down a long corridor until we reached the second section.

The angel then said to me, "This is the Packaging and Delivery Section.
Here, the graces and blessings the people asked for are processed and
delivered to the living persons who asked for them."

I noticed again how busy it was there.
There were many angels working hard at that station, since so many blessings
had been requested and were being packaged for delivery to Earth.

Finally at the farthest end of the long corridor we stopped at the door of a
very small station. To my great surprise, only one angel was seated there,
idly doing nothing. "This is the Acknowledgment Section,"

my angel friend quietly admitted to me. He seemed embarrassed How is it
that? There's no work going on here?" I asked.

"So sad," the angel sighed. "After people receive the blessings that they
asked for, very few send back acknowledgments.

"How does one acknowledge God's blessings?" I asked.

"Simple," the angel answered.
"Just say, "Thank you, God."

"What blessings should they acknowledge?"
I asked.

"If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead
and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of this world. "If you have
money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish, you are among
the top 8% of the world's wealthy.

"And if you get this on your own computer, you are part of the 1% in the
world who has that opportunity."

Also ....

"If you woke up this morning with more health than illness .... you are more
blessed than the many who will not even survive this day.

"If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness of
imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation .. you are
ahead of 700 million people in the world.

"If you can attend a Namaz in Mosque without the fear of harassment, arrest,
torture or death you are envied by, and more blessed than, three billion
people in the world.

"If your parents are still alive, you are very rare.

If you can hold your head up and smile, you are not the norm, you're unique
to all those in doubt and despair."

Ok, what now? How can I start?

If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in that
someone was thinking of you as very special and you are more blessed than
over two billion people in the world who cannot read at all.

The Way to Be Followed Alone!

I came across this content on somebody else's blog and found it damn interesting and usefull. Anyways, I liked it, and I’m posting it here. these lines were written over there too

"Follow this, and you will stay cool all your life, and kick life’s ass. It’s is called as the Dokkodo."

i found this line to be the most catching one :P:P:P

  • Accept everything just the way it is.
  • Do not seek pleasure for its own sake.
  • Do not, under any circumstances, depend on a partial feeling.
  • Think lightly of yourself and deeply of the world.
  • Be detached from desire your whole life long.
  • Do not regret what you have done.
  • Never be jealous.
  • Never let yourself be saddened by a separation.
  • Resentment and complaint are appropriate neither for oneself or others.
  • Do not let yourself be guided by the feeling of lust or love.
  • In all things have no preferences.
  • Be indifferent to where you live.
  • Do not pursue the taste of good food.
  • Do not hold on to possessions you no longer need.
  • Do not act following customary beliefs.
  • Do not collect weapons or practice with weapons beyond what is useful.
  • Do not fear death.
  • Do not seek to possess either goods or fiefs for your old age.
  • Respect Buddha and the gods without counting on their help.
  • You may abandon your own body but you must preserve your honour.
  • Never stray from the Way.

FATE???

“It’s a book that says the same thing almost all the other books in the world say,” continued the old man. “It describes people’s inability to choose their own Personal Legends. And it ends up saying that everyone believes the world’s greatest lie.”
“What’s the world’s greatest lie?” the boy asked, completely surprised.

“It’s this; that at a certain point in our lives, we lose control of what’s happening to us, and our lives become controlled by fate. That’s the world’s greatest lie.”

GOD! An Artist!!

God is an artist. He invented the giraffe, the elephant and the ant. Actually, he never sought for a style -he was simply doing everything that he wanted to do.” The master says: “When we begin along our path, a great fear arises. We feel obligated to do everything right. In the end, since we have only one life to live, who was it that invented the standard of “Everything right?” God made the giraffe, the elephant and the ant -why do we have to follow a standard? A standard serves only to show us how others define their own reality. Often we admire the models of others, and many times we can avoid the errors committed by others. But as for living well -only we know how to do that for ourselves.
